Nursing school is good so far! I'm learning a lot and it's just been three days. I'm on my lunchbreak now, so I have some time to write! I've been busy since last weekend with my friends, and I haven't even had time to check facebook! Oh my.
But everything is going so well, I'm very happy right now. So we'll see what happens in the next few weeks with my learnin' and the "new chapter" in my life. haha
We Can’t Endure on Our Own

Howdy Pilgrimess!
ReplyDeleteYou've done well to move North from college, now it is time to journey further North, where the streams run cold, the alfalfa grass grows tall and Highland Cattle live happy like they did in Scottland of yore.............a place where a nurse could work 24/7 and still not get done with his/her work.........a place where the influence of Godly young woman is needed like a sunflower needs the sun..........a place where the clip-clop of a horse drawn carriage can be heard on a cool summer night, where children's laughter trickles from the haybarn.....a simple land for simple people both Amish and English alike - the Allegheny Plateau of North West Pennsylvania - a land of heritage and history - a land of promise, of bright future..........some dispensationalists even claim the millenium is being lived out here and now due to the frequent sightings of mountain lions in sheep pastures and children playing with snakes!
So come North where you will find rest for your weary soul. "You're mind keeps saying, c'mon let's go, You started learnin'
what you don't need to know... Where the sidewalk ends and the road begins...we'll wait for you at the Fritsch Family Farm....."
The sidewalk ends in East Tennessee , but your Pilgrim's journey begins on the road that leads to Pennsylvania! The nearest Starbucks is nearly two hours from the farm - so needless to say we have learned to brew our own! I even have a barn that needs painting and we have plenty of rivers to jump in, so saddle up your horses, load the wagons, bring your Highlanders (they'll fit right in with ours) and head North to your future!!!!
O.K., so now that I've thoroughly convinced you of heading North, I'd like to tell you that we miss you and your family very much! I still remember with great fondness, sitting around the campfire with the sweet melody of an old Scottish tune flowing from from strings mingled with the simple, seasonal sound of hickory nuts free-falling through the foliage.....ahhhh. I have enjoyed reading your blog - keep up the good work!
Check out our friends website - they are a sustainable small family farm just North of us - www.heritagefarm.us Their Godly, self-sufficient, handsome, Highland Cattle farmer, Calvinistic, New Covenant affirming, Hank-approved son Peter (The Rock!), has enjoyed reading your blog - in case you're wondering, yes, I am selfishly tryng to match-make in order to get to see more of the Abbots!
Your Jewish Brother,
Hank
Hank! I haven't checked my blog in months, and now it's July and I finally checked it and I had no idea you wrote this! I miss you all so much! It was great to hear from you, I loved the little Penn. advertisement you wrote up there, haha. I would LOVE to come visit, I know my daddy would too, maybe someday we can! This made me laugh, thank you so much!
